Course Overview
With the Rescue Diver Course you learn how to take care of others not just yourself. Your instructor will equip you with the necessary skills to come to the aid of divers who need assistance. It is one of the most challenging yet rewarding courses and it includes three Open Water Dives.
Rescue Diver training will teach you how to prevent problems and how to manage dive emergencies if they occur. It is a very useful course to take and is a prerequisite for the Professional dive courses such as Divemaster.
During the pool and open water sessions you will learn:
- Self-rescue and how to respond to diver stress
- First Aid for the Diver
- Emergency management and equipment requirements
- Swimming and non-swimming assists
- How to respond to a panicked diver
- Dealing with Underwater problems
- Missing diver procedures
- Surfacing the unconscious diver
- In water rescue breaths
- Egress (exits)
- First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
- Dive accident scenarios
Pre-Requisites
- Advanced Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying dive licence from another diving organisation)
- Be at least 15 years old (12 for the Junior Rescue Diver)
- Completed a recognised CPR course within the previous 24 months
First Aid Course with CPR
The First Aid course with CPR consists of two parts; Primary Care and Secondary Care. Primary Care (CPR) teaches you the steps and techniques for handling life threatening emergencies. Secondary Care (First Aid) teaches you what to do when Emergency Medical Services are delayed or unavailable.
Primary care skills that you will learn include:
- Scene Assessment
- Barrier Use
- Primary Assessment
- Rescue Breathing
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Serious bleeding management
- Shock management
- Spinal injury management
Secondary care kills include:
- Injury Assessment
- Bandaging
- Splinting for Dislocations and Fracture

We need to use your 100 pounds deposit to buy the learning and it is not refundable. For this reason we are unable to refund your deposit if you cancel for any reason.
