SiDive Instructors conduct PADI diving courses. All dive certificate courses are carried out by renewed PADI instructors with many years experience diving in the Philippines. To go Scuba Diving anywhere in the World you need a diving certificate. PADI is the biggest diving organisation and certifies more divers than any other organisation. The most popular course is the PADI Open water Diver course.
The PADI Open Water Course usually takes between 2 to 3 days and certifies the participants to dive to a depth of 18m with a buddy. When you are certified you do not have to dive with a PADI professional. It is the most popular of all PADI’s programs and is recognized worldwide. In certain cases the course can be completed in 2 days or in a more leisurely 4 days.
The course consists of either independent study of dive theory or classroom study, confined water training in a swimming pool and four Open Water Dives in the Sea.
Courses run 7 days a week and we aim to fit in with your schedule. The first part is the theory which usually takes 5-6 hours and can be done either online before you come or in a classroom setting with an Instructor.
After the theory, and usually on the second day, we enter into the pool or confined water in the Sea where we complete the first confined water session. This is then followed by your first Open Water dive. Then we have lunch. After lunch we all go back into the pool to finish confined sessions 2-5, learning the rest of the skills. On some occasions we finish all of the confined water skills before we do the first Open water dive.
On the third and final day we sometimes, but not always, take a boat trip usually lasting from about 9AM-4PM. During this day we complete the remaining three open water dives in the Sea.
The Open water Diver course is always a memorable event.
